Digital Twin

BBS creates a digital twin for commissioning engineering production systems. The Mechanical Engineering department provides CAD data for processing in a simulation tool (teamtechnik uses Siemens NX MCD). To build a simulation model for the PLC, physical movement is then added to the CAD model and its components. At the same time, the electrical design and the PLC software are created. Once the simulation model has been linked to the PLC software, the production system is commissioned, virtually, at the same time as the production system is assembled. This enables production systems to be tested and optimized before they are actually installed. In addition to saving time and money, faults and problems can be identified and resolved ahead of time.
