“Technical professions are exciting, creative, and offer many opportunities – that's exactly what we want to show young people,” explains Stefan Hofstetter, HR manager at BBS Automation. He signed the educational partnership together with school principal Timo Kuschnier. This continues the long-standing cooperation between the two sides.
The aim of the cooperation is to give young people a close-up look at a professional field through company tours, internships, and discussions with trainees and trainers. The focus is not only on machines and technology, but also on teamwork, creativity, and future prospects.
Girls in particular are to be specifically targeted. “Technology is not just for boys – anyone who is curious and wants to make a difference together with others is in exactly the right place here,” Selina Heinrich makes clear. The former OPS student is now a trainer at BBS.
Support is also provided during the application phase: BBS informs students about how the application process works, what apprenticeships are available, and what questions they should ask themselves before deciding on a career. Headmaster Timo Kuschnier is delighted with the new partnership: "Our students deserve the best opportunities—and they can find them right here on our doorstep. Strong companies like BBS offer exciting prospects."
BBS has been involved in industrial and technical training since 2005 and, with currently 44 trainees, is one of the largest training companies in the Ludwigsburg district. The educational partnership with the Oscar Paret School is the second with a general education school.
